Het DBR-brandstofbehandelingssysteem verlengt de levensduur van de brandstof en verlaagt de onderhoudskosten van de apparatuur. DBR heeft speciaal voor Offshore Windfarm Substations een volledig autonoom offline brandstofbehandelingssysteem ontwikkeld.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">De dieselgeneratorsets op de Offshore Windfarm Substations worden gebruikt als hulp-, standby- of noodstroomvoorziening en draaien vooral in de eerste jaren na de installatie of in geval van nood.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Hoewel het substation onbemand is, moeten de generatorsets in geval van een noodsituatie meerdere dagen of zelfs weken ononderbroken kunnen draaien. Voor dergelijke noodsituaties bevinden zich grote brandstoftanks op de substations.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Om de kwaliteit en de levensduur van de brandstof te behouden, kan tussen de dieselvoorraadtank en de dagtank een brandstofbehandelingsysteem worden ge\u00efnstalleerd.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Lagere temperaturen en daarmee samenhangende temperatuurschommelingen veroorzaken condenswater in de brandstoftanks. Water in de brandstof veroorzaakt bacteri\u00ebn. Bacteri\u00ebn verminderen de kwaliteit van de brandstof. Slechte brandstofkwaliteit veroorzaakt slijtage aan de dieselmotor wat zelfs kan leiden tot het uitschakelen van de generatorsets.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Het gevolg is dat er brandstof moet worden vervangen en dat er waarschijnlijk uitgebreide reparaties moeten worden uitgevoerd, wat commercieel gezien niet aantrekkelijk is.<o:p><\/o:p><\/span><\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal\">\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n<\/p><p class=\"MsoNormal translation-block\">Met een speciaal ontworpen brandstofbehandelingssysteem wordt de groei van bacteri\u00ebn voorkomen, de levensduur van de brandstof verlengd en worden de onderhoudskosten van de apparatuur
