DBR supplied World’s first IMO Tier 3 Generator sets with MAN Marine Engines for Salmon Pontoon

At the end of the first quarter 2019 DBR successfully completed the delivery and commissioning of 3x 820 kVA Marine Generator sets with exhaust aftertreatment system – SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) for the prestigious NP535 project of Neptune Marine in The Netherlands.

The DBR Generator sets powering the Neptune Marine salmon delousing non-self propelled barge equipped with a 100% environmentally friendly Hydrolicer fish delousing system for Cermaq Canada.
Those DBR Generator sets DML820UK2 are based on the MAN D2862LE328 common rail engines and Leroy Somer alternators. The engines are equipped with the compact MAN SCR units to fulfil the IMO Tier 3 requirements.

In close cooperation with Neptune Marine and MAN Rollo, DBR engineered and supplied World’s first MAN based IMO Tier 3 compliant Generator sets, fully approved and certified by Bureau Veritas.

DBR has already built up many years of experience in engineering , testing, certifying and supplying IMO Tier 3 compliant Generator sets based on Scania, Volvo Penta, Cummins and Mitsubishi engines and now also with MAN engines.
